Greta Thunberg's brilliant response when a journalist told her that Trump said she was an angry young woman:

Greta Thunberg, a young woman, has become one of the most famous people in the world without saying very much. She just does things. And that drives many middle-aged men nuts because they simply can’t tolerate the idea that a young woman has 100x more influence than they do.

Christian Christensen (@chrchristensen.bsky.social) 2025-06-10T20:14:15.559Z

What irritates many people — particularly men — about Greta Thunberg is that she is a young woman simply exercising her right to speak out on issues about which she feels strongly. So, ironically, those people are bothered by her sense of citizenship…a value supposedly cherished in “The West.”

That was back 40 years ago. She saw this coming and protested regularly. Too bad no one listened.

If you obey all the rules of those who want to rule with an iron fist, you miss the opportunity to have a voice in how you are treated.

Our Founders did not play by the rules to establish a democracy. Trump is certainly not playing by the rules—or law—as he tries to destroy that democracy.

Being raised by one is not exactly utopia.

And, didn't exactly engender much affection in either direction. Oh, we all love each other, but to be honest, it is more of an 'expected practice' than 'affection'.

We can no longer let the people in power decide what hope is.
Hope is not passive.
Hope is not blah, blah, blah.
Hope is telling the truth.
Hope is taking action.
And hope always comes from the people."

Boadicea same, yep angry woman too.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, same.

As a slow and aging white male, fiery women who know what is right and aren't afraid to speak up, and act up, give me hope for the human race.
(Trump and his despicables, not so much.)

I guess the 'angry young woman' comment really means . . . Not liking what you do and say, know your place, child?
