So let's get this straight on the ICE shooter

this person is filled with such rage and anger towards ICE that they supposedly went their to kill ICE agents. They took the time to prepare where they would shoot from and waited for their opportunity and after all this rage and planning all they could come up with to write on the bullet casings was “ANTI ICE”??? Seems pretty simple and free of anger and malice. No 4 letter words or “Abolish ICE”? You know something a real anti ICE left winger might say. This sounds as believable as those text message that Tyler Robinson supposedly sent.

The only thing we can count on from federal law-enforcement now is that we won’t get the straight story

Obviously the brother isn't an objective observer, but it's the best reported evidence of his skill as a shooter.

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/dallas-ice-shooter-joshua-jahn-suspect-texas-attack-what-know-rcna233508

But presuming he was firing at the side of the van, it's a wide miss if he was targeting the agents who I would assume were in the front of the van and separated from the detainees. Logically targeting the detainees doesn't advance an anti-ICE agenda. So something feels weird here if he was anti-ICE, but maybe he missed or maybe he was aiming for the detainees and the other stuff is a smoke screen, but so far everything suggests he was anti-ICE.

Characterized as immigrant murderer, not having shot at any Ice agents. Shot and killed brown people, at an ice facility. 4chan social media dipshit, young white boy. The common thread seems to me is that all, and I mean all shootings appear to be with guns. We might start there.....???

From Wikipedia:

A witness said he heard around six to ten gunshots before the gunman shot himself.[12] All three victims were shot inside the van.[13] Dozens of police units and multiple ambulances were seen near the facility.[14]

I have read that the rifle was an M1 Garland. I think that is a bolt-action rifle.

From the photo I saw of the dead shooter, it looked to be there was no scope on the rifle.

during my first tour in 'Nam, we carried the M-14, it was heavy with all the wood furniture and heaver rounds, but it had great punching power, then my second tour, we were issued the M-16A1, it was a lot lighter, but the punching power wasn't as effective as the M-14.
I sure did miss that M-14, but, you know, progress.

He was a medical corps translator in Italy in the post-war occupation of Europe.
The infrastructure was all so damaged, the local residents didn't have hospitals, so the Army had to provide medical care. There weren't enough Italian doctors who were absolved of fascist crimes, so there were doctors & nurses who didn't understand Italian. My dad did, and he was a qualified medical.
He was stationed mostly in Naples, which was only a 4 hour train ride to catch the ferry to Sicily. So, he could take leave with family in Messina. Perfect situation for him.
He never carried anything but a sidearm. Only fired a rifle in basic training.

This teasing out of motivation and 'profiling' of shooting perps - has become kind of an amateur hour game show. 99% of us are in no way equipped - or in possession of enough facts - to offer anything even close to concrete (or worthwhile for that matter).

And - in this case - it would seem as if the perpetrator was even more muddled and opaque than some of his predecessors.
In short - we really don't know jack ....
And chances are pretty good we won't.

Nearly 20 detainees have died in ICE custody, including the 3 in Dallas. Not one ICE agent has been killed by anyone. Nobody with even an smidgen of intelligence belies this nonsense.

And, who knows what the hell happened to those 1000+ detainees that previously occupied the Everglades concentration camp?

Patel said the FBI uncovered the following so far in their investigation:

- A document downloaded by Jahn containing a list of various Department of Homeland Security locations.
- Evidence of "multiple searches of ballistics and the 'Charlie Kirk Shot Video.' ”
- In late August, Jahn allegedly "searched apps that tracked the presence of ICE agents.

and that he fired 80 rounds. But the picture of the decorated round shows it in a stripper along with four other rounds. AR style rifles don’t use stripper clips. Those are used in bolt action rifles, to feed internal magazines — usually with a capacity of five rounds. That means the shooter would have had to reload 15 times to fire 80 rounds. If he had that much time, why not use the last clip, fire 4 more rounds, and use the last one to kill himself?

ARs are semiautomatic, use detachable box magazines, often with a capacity of 20 or more rounds. ARs are chambered in several different calibers, including .308, .300 Blackout, 6,5 Creemore, but most commonly in .223 or 5.56. The rounds in the picture appear to be .30-06 or something else in the .30 caliber range. I may be wrong, but I don’t think the AR chambers those rounds.

Which raises a number of question that I haven’t heard anyone ask.

I've seen several articles that describe it as a bolt-action rifle, a couple identify the chambering as 8mm, and one that specifically said it was a German 8mm Mauser.
