As much as I loathe him, the Euros beating the US is not rare, so it's not him being there.
They won in 2023, 2018, 2014, 2012 (in the US), 2010, 2006, 2004 (in the US)
So 7 wins in 11 events, including 2 in 6 in the US (now 3 in 7).
The US players do not adapt well to alternate shot and that's been a problem for 30 years.
