Stronger and more accurate messaging please: The actions of this administration and gop have so far been dangerous,

reckless, undemocratic, frightening, and irresponsible ACROSS THE BOARD domestically and globally. Much of the fed govt is already gutted, limited, compromised, and/or eliminated...especially so with respect to health care. Dems and american citizens will have to wait to repair much of the damage done to CDC, FEMA, FDA, DOJ, alliances, democracy, education...however dems will not stand for continued diminishment of our health care system under this administration. This is urgent and important and we are duty bound to protect the lives and health of millions. This is not a game and we will not lay down and let it happen. Let's work it out now.


The shutdown issue has become muddied and confused. Doesn't need to be. gop isn't interested in negotiations, in the past or in the future.

1. was listening to a right leaning but often reasonable talk show before lunch, and

getting to the heart of the issue seemed elusive for host and guest. To their credit, they did point out that gop claims that dems want money to go to the undocumented for health care was questionable and probably untrue. But also wondered why dems aren't more concerned with how the dems might 'harm' the fed govt by causing layoffs.

Didn't mention that the WH has already inflicted severe, reckless and possibly permanent damage to the fed govt.

Didn't mention that gop passed BBB w a reconciliation process that didn't allow for much negotiation, or that there will be zero motivation for the gop to negotiate after this.

Didn't mention that the revenue would have lasted longer without giant tax cuts for the wealthy

Didn't mention that this shutdown is unlike any other, and occurs at a time when the three branches of govt have been captured by authoritarian forces that place us in uncharted and dangerous waters.

Didn't mention that these actions are at the behest of a clearly impaired potus who has limited understanding of domestic and foreign issues and who is causing one chaotic week after another.

As typical...the focus is on the horse race of dem v gop on a single issue, without 9 months of context. Dan Abrams with guest from the Hill. I will say that most callers he put on during the half hour I tuned in were more supportive of dems than usual.

2. TSF wants to do to our health care system what he has done to the economy, DOJ, FEMA, FDA, intelligence,

traditional alliances, education, etc.

Reckless cutting without thought of impacts. Think the guy who withheld covid resources from blue states, suggested bleach injections, suggested that pregnant women should tough it out when sick, who said that if we stopped testing for covid there would be no covid...should be dictating how our health care system should operate?

Why do pundits and MSM and officials give him credit for thoughtful consideration of ANYTHING, let alone defense and health care? His record of chaos and incompetence is unrivaled yet MSM hangs on every word.

3. At some point, we will need to stop asking

"Why" in regards to the mainstream media. It's kind of obvious(an understatement) that most of them are in the tank for the admin or they are only interested in the horserace both sides thing.
