if every American saw it, maybe half would ask "so what?"

The way back, America, is going to take generations. Basic, elementary education has to be given our children. They must be taught -- and shown the documentation -- what the Founders really hoped to establish. They must be taught the inhumanity, of the savage barbarity, of authoritarian rule. Any tendency to want to torture, to humiliate and destroy perceived enemies must be shown for what it is: monstrous, ugly evil.

Then, after decades of work, it is possible America will be able to start reconstructing itself as a noble, fair, and just society.

If we have decades, it can be done. But do we have decades? And do we have the will?

11. Some un-redacted docs are on line

So, some of the documents were redacted in word, and it didn’t take long for someone to figure out that a simple copy / paste removes the black squares. My guess is some ninny at the FBI wasn’t savvy enough to know how to permanently redact, so some slipped through. There may be more, and there may be other techniques, such a precise color filtering, that will uncover the blacks outs. So far 945 pages have been gone through, and here they are

Seeing and hearing these men describe their actual experiences is incredibly powerful. The impact is completely different from reading a bland news article account of how Cecot is a terrible place.

It's like the difference between reading about the holocaust and watching a first person account of what someone went through (many, many of which have been preserved, fortunately).

I understand how you feel, Farmer-Rick, about how you once defended this country. But I honestly believe that the the country you defended is in many ways not the same one that is committing these outrages under Trump. Perhaps it may help to remind yourself of that.

The idea that people have certain inalienable rights, the separation of church and state, the rule of law, the list goes on and on.
