Does Minneapolis have a hate-radio station spewing nothing but fascism and hate 24/7/365?

Just asking if that might go a long way in explaining how what's happening was enabled to happen...or hell!...even predicted what was going to happen?

Maybe something should be done about that.

Maybe that hate-radio station should never be able to broadcast for one more second in Minneapolis.

Maybe other blue cities should "check" to see if they also have Nazi propaganda stations dehumanizing and demeaning the very citizens they are supposed to serve.

Maybe there is something...and I mean a non-violent something...that can be done.

The remedy for bad speech is more speech, not suppression. And these days a lot of the hate is coming from social media, not radio.

These hate-radio stations go beyond that.

They set the fire, then yell.

I am not denying their right to speak. I am just suggesting that speech does not absolve them from the consequences.

I'd like to see some consequences.

We can't do anything, because max hasn't shown up at every hate-radio stations door.

We can't do anything, but we expect one person to be busier than a cat trying to cover its poop on a linoleum floor.

I volunteered on the campaign for our local Dem candidate. I made phone calls and canvassed.

And, I am trying to highlight on a prominent progressive site, what I view as a critical reason we are in this shitshow.

Are you too busy to contact your local Nazi propaganda station???

new me: as we reckon with Renée Nicole Good's death at the hands of an ICE agent, let's not forget the very reason those feds were in Minneapolis—and how the X-centric "citizen journalism" encouraging our govt to sic troops against Americans extends beyond Nick Shirley slate.com/technology/2...

Their sponsors know they will never have to worry about a boycott or backlash against them supporting hate radio.

if you have a hate-radio station that has spent 50 years dehumanizing the very citizens they are supposed to serve.

The people who work at that station. Those that answer the phones. Those that sell advertisement, the Morning Drive host, they are all local.

I bet their studio and offices are probably right there in Minneapolis.

They eat at the same restaurants.

They send their kids to the same schools.

They attend the same concerts and sporting events.

They enjoy all that the city has to offer, while working to destroy it.

There is no public outpouring of ICE support from them. There are no counter-demonstrations.

No local right-wingers invited these outstate gangs of thugs to come and terrorize our streets. They were inflicted on us.

Local MAGAs bear the same moral culpability that MAGAs everywhere bear, of course. But would Minnesota have been spared this punishment if our population were uniformly blue, and if there were no right-wing radio station within our boundaries? If anything, that would have made us an even more likely target for this brutality.

To blame our present suffering on us for our failure to have somehow found a way to banish right-wing radio from our state is what's known as blaming the victim.

I am not a savant, but I predicted this. I have said that if you listened to one second of hate-radio over the past 50 years, you knew that we were one-fucking Retrumplican majority away from masked Gestapo murdering people in the street.

Well, we are here now!

I am not asking how we got to here, I am asking what we are doing NOW.

The propaganda has enabled this harm. Let's make sure it's not empowered to continue harming in the future.

Another example of how pervasive rage bait radio has become is here in Lansing Michigan..

Right wing content had already begun creeping into the top of the hour newscasts on our local sports station

Recently they moved our local hate mongering Morning Drive guy to the more popular all sports station.

So the newscasts that they run now are basically an extension of whatever our local Morning Drive guy is raging about that day --

We have one AM radio in the house that is always on WCC0 830. I admit that I have not scrolled through the band to see if there is a right-wing station on the air here, but since nobody has named one, I guess maybe there isn't one.

ETA: See my post below. There are a couple.

One is WWTC, 1280 AM. Calls itself "The Patriot"

Another is the local iHeart radio station, KTLK 1130 AM.

I should have done the Google Search earlier. I have never heard either of the two.
