I did not understand a single word he was saying.
Me, Viktor, watching from Ukraine.

Something that began in California last night crossed oceans and continents and landed straight inside me.

It was the first time I heard about Bad Bunny. I honestly imagined a rabbit, so you can get my level of ignorance.

Then he walked onto the field and sang entirely in Spanish.

But this was different.

I did not understand what Bad Bunny was saying, yet it was immediately clear that something historic was happening.

That man was making the strongest possible political statement in the most American event imaginable, without slogans, without shouting, without asking permission.

as well. There is a lot of kinship because they are dealing with Putin and we with Trump but wanting that to not determine what kind of people we want to be.

Inspiring. And I always feel such strong emotion and tear up when I read what he's writing to all us, from a "war zone" in the Ukraine.

Mahlo, Amaryllis for this beautiful essay from him on our Courageous Bad Bunny.
