(Brian Tyler Cohen) Trump implicated in latest Epstein files release
In 1940, I suspect that Glenn Kirschner might well have been seen standing in Paris and declaring the Maginot Line to be a sound fortification even as Dunkirk were being evacuated had he been part of the French Defense Ministry at that time.
There is no evidence that the US Judiciary is up to the task to do anything meaningful against the Trump Regime.
How many judicial orders may be ignored before some significant degree of accountability is achieved? It is not enough to look sternly at officials in the Trump Regime and say someday you will be held accountable, for that someday may well have a weak President like President Obama who decides that it is too much trouble to hold the torturers or the bankers to account but that it is easy to strike a US citizen with a drone instead of capturing him and putting him on trial. (Another US citizen (a child) was 'collateral damage' in the effort if I recall correctly.)
It is insane to listen to Kirschner continue to state that the US Judiciary is up to the task. It is not. It failed to move with the necessary alacrity when Trump needed to be tried for his 1/6 Insurrection. (Yes, Merrick Garland was slow and worthless as well. Appointing a worthless AG is a sin that will (for many reasons) unfortunately permanently taint President Biden's legacy.)
At some point, remarks concerning the strength of the US Judiciary seem to be just so much filler to lengthen an episode and have no more weight than a trite schtick put on by a bad comedian.
