I think I know what's going to happen next.

Trump is hoping that Iranian citizens will pick up arms and finish what he started, by fighting against the current Iranian government. If that doesn't happen at all, then Congress has an easy out because this is an unpopular conflict with American.

Trump is now claiming he had to strike first to ameliorate the losses and damages if Iran went first. Which, of course, is weak sauce considering they attacked a girl's school and Iran retaliated with a full out attack on military sites around the Middle East.

that one would be a fool to trust that Trump would retreat once a new government was established.

And I'm hearing on MSNOW that one expert on the middle east said the adjoining middle east countries who were attacked by Iran just now, benefit from continual chaos in Iran. Which is to say, that they wouldn't help Iran reconstitute its government. Interesting.
