We have violated the Olympic truce

Key Features
Duration: The modern Olympic Truce begins one week before the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games and ends one week after the closing ceremony of the Paralympic Games.

It was Russia violating the truce in 2022 invasion of Ukraine that got it banned from the Olympics.
We could be having the Olympics in the US without US athletes being able to participate.

We also violated when we attacked Iraq. Also when we attacked Afghanistan. Nothing happened with the Olympics.
