Today we are diving into the recent Congressional testimony and viral interviews of Dr. Casey Means. Dr. Means is an MD turned rightwing wellness grifter who uses her platform to spread false claims about vaccines, birth control, and PCOS that simply do not align with peer-reviewed medical science. So, of course, she’s President Trump’s nominee for Surgeon General of the United States.
As an OBGYN, I see patients all the time who are scared of life-saving medications and vaccines or who are confused about their own hormones because of "wellness" narratives like those that made Dr. Means famous. If she becomes Surgeon General, she’ll be the most powerful medical professional in the United States so we have to talk about her.
