MSNOW is turning the old "maga voters in the diner" routine on its head, and I loved it!!

Just now after the mind numbingly long one and a half hour nothingburger of a "press conference" ended, MSNOW's reporter went to a veterans' hangout where vets had listened to the whole thing. Alex Talbot interviewed two vets who looked like typical trump voters but neither one of them were buying it.

The first vet gave some advice to the press. He said that they should ask what the purpose of the war is. He said that after that press conference he still doesn't know.

The second vet said that blowing up a country is not a way to win a war. And he looked absolutely surprised that he even needed to state that.

So MSNOW at least has figured out that when your policies are as unpopular as trump's are it is not difficult to go out and find average voters, and even vets, who disagree. What a breath of fresh air. I won't hold my breath for other outlets to try this, but it was refreshing.

It always irritates the hell out of me that corporate media never goes to a Blue area coffee shop to hear how democratic liberals feel about an issue. NEVER!

We're too rational and too motivated by real concern for others to make for good TV. Network news execs would rather send reporters to talk to MAGA types, because they are much more colorful and entertaining. They're afraid we'd just put everybody to sleep talking about real issues and real solutions.

I wish I was kidding about this 100%, but a part of me suspects this is true.

Out in the world, it sure looks like the two distinctions are Real Americans and Republicans -- but whatever, MSM.

That wasn’t the case today though. I caught that segment.

And I do think MSNOW is trying to be better than MSNBC was.

you just coined, "wargasm", really needs to be in the dictionary of American English with an example thus, "Lindsey Graham gets a wargasm just thinking about bombing human beings, especially young girls."

Yes everyone's busy but if you watch that channel starting with Deadline Whitehouse, I have seen them ask everybody everywhere at some point. Judging them by just asking people in "diners" in "rural" America is completely unfair. If you watch it before 4pm well Dawg knows what you'll get but most of that is M$M trash. They hit harder than any other "M$M" cable news/opinion network than any other from 4pm on. It just irks the hell out of me when people watch Morning Blow or Katy Turd and slam the channel and say I'm not watching. BE HAPPY we at least have these late afternoon thru evening shows left, they are all that's LEFT on any kind of M$M. FatFuck and his minions are trying to shut them down as we speak. They are the last line in this war in their arena period and their heels are dug in.

No matter how much lipstick Shitler slathers on this, THAT is still the question that won't go away. Mainly because it doesn't have a answer that doesn't make Shitler look like an idiot and Bibi's lap dog.

"...blowing up a country is not a way to win a war," said one of the vets."
The follow-up question should then have been: "What is winning? And what do you 'win' in this war?"

It's General Carl von Clausewitz's* most important question, one that demands a clear and irrefutable answer to before you go to war.

* Carl von Clausewitz's most notable work, Vom Kriege (On War) is considered a seminal treatise on military strategy and science. His "Principles of War" is taught in all military schools, right up there with Sun Tsu.
