(844 posts)Dont all the state DMVs ask if you want to register to vote when you get a license? Ive done 3 interstate moves and each time I registered when I got my license. Could not be easier.

(34,432 posts)She was from another county. After she renewed her DL, she couldn't vote in our county because they also "updated" her voter registration to the other county, where her parents lived, but she was not residing.
In Texas, your TDL address does not need to match your voter registratrion address. (Many young people use their parents address either to vote or on their TDL etc) As long as you have a TDL and are registered in the county where you are voting, you are good to go... The TDL can be from anywhere in Texas.
But now that we have improved voter registration at the DMV, guess what?
She could have "opted out", but previously, it was an "opt in".

(10,824 posts)Having a draft has the potential of killing off voters as well.
So to (R)'s, this is a win-win situation.

(41,800 posts)... when they come in to Dept. of Motor Vehicles for their PA Drivers License. So far it has been well-received, but it doesn't guarantee that the youngsters will actually vote. At least they can if they want to.

(189 posts)is reserved for enthusiastic R voters. Any advantage given to their opposition is preemptively countered. They surely cant have meaningful waves of democratic-enthused people at polls.
Speaking of polls. Have you considered the preponderance of multi-front attacks on successful application of mail-in voting? It, of course widely popular for legal balloting. Why would any patriot of free elections want enthused voters juggling the onerous mechanisms of in-person voting?
Do these saboteurs of democracy want deliberate voters sitting in their living rooms safely pondering the weight of their ballot. No. They want Americans turned away at polling lines, intimidated and thwarted in their American franchise with the lie of voter fraud and other rationalizations.
If voting by mail works as well as it does without question-why are the R traitors intent on destroying it. We know why.
