But since they have neither morals nor compassion, they simply do not care about any of that.

All they want is the satisfaction that someone they do not like for whatever stupid reason is suffering more than they are.

The idea that we could just fix things so that no one is suffering is not in their 'vocabulary'. And, would require effort and sacrifice, something that I feel cannot happen in today's United States, other than when it is forced upon them.
