Trump gave in to backlash from his Catholic supporters and deleted a post in which he likened himself to Jesus Christ.

After raging against Pope Leo XIV on Truth Social, Trump, 79, shocked even his most loyal followers with an AI-generated image depicting himself as Jesus Christ.

The image, posted to Truth Social late Sunday night, portrays Trump as Christ, laying his hand on a patient in a hospital bed, seemingly healing him.

I've often seen old Twitter tweets with the comments "this hasn't aged well," but I'd say his Truth Social posts are even worse. Might be nice to go back and remind people on occasion of how loathsome he is, in case they forget.

On the Trump's Truth site, I like that they have not updated the note at the bottom, referring to him as "former President." I infer that the site was started during Biden's term.

Later on Monday morning, however, Trump – or his staffers – appeared to have deleted the social media post, prompting some to take further digs at the president, including California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

“Now delete your presidency,” Newsom wrote in a social media post on X to his nearly 3 million followers.
