Robot dogs taking security jobs?

Klein: There's a new company that is marketing that they have robot dogs who will do security at the data center. So even this handful of jobs that were being offered, they're already working to try to figure out how they won't even need those.

I can't imagine they will ever be able to match a dog's ability to both catch a scent from a huge distance, and then follow that scent for huge distances over various terrains.

Robo attack dogs, like in the movies, I guess.

A couple of mobile robot dogs with their audio/video pickups, networked and directed by a resident “AI” with access to all the video cameras on site and potentially off site, possibly infra red or off spectrum analysis.

I don’t like the police state I’m living in, I’m really not looking forward to the next one.

But slogging the though a swamp, tracking an escaped convict, not sure.

Then again, they probably have drones for that now.
