And I have been doing this since the mid 80s.
Very very tough to see how people of wealth are taxed at lower brackets than people that earn a living and have wages pensions and social security.
I do my best for all of them.
Hardest part? When people have owed. And my small client list (semi retired) lean liberal.
It really hurts with the war going on.

And to fix it is not easy

This is the 1st in my 75 years I resented paying taxes, and Ive paid since I was 16 yo.
Painful.

(2,610 posts)Our software would have an override on that and say client prefers paper check. I dont like how theyre doing it at all just taking money from someones account.

(3,363 posts)They rely on us. We were rely on them. They increasingly rely on us for accuracy and responsibility for returns e filed. We rely on them for processing and communication so firiing the roughly 10000 agents is not good for us. Nor our clients.

Not so much with people over 150K that retired.

(3,363 posts)Even the no tax on tips will hurt esp parents with kids that need earned income to get that earned income credit refund. Which a lot of time will exceed any federal withholding they might have.
I think we will see some repercussions from working families on this.

(3,566 posts)When it comes to taxes, folks' eyes gloss over...until tax season. Then, all of a sudden, they realize how the actual policies affect them.
