Interestingly,Duvall ,in Network,played a ruthless tv exec..unlikeable,and not his usual typecasting.(But Ned Beatty was cosmic in his role.)
As with Andy Griffith ,in A Face in the Crowd.Sure wasnt good ole Andy of Mayberry in that one!

(15,858 posts)Network is mandatory watching, in my book. The only part I didn't care for was the affair between William Holden and the much younger Faye Dunaway.
That speech by Ned Beatty is the real message of the film, and all too real.

The third film included in my holy trinity of cinema is Seven Days in May..what a movie!!
