MSNOW reporter Mychael Schnell just reported that although trump's hold over the party is still "extremely strong", the Kentucky R voters she spoke to did not know why they were voting against Massie. They could not give any examples of actions Massie had taken that they disapproved of. In fact, when one woman said that she was upset that Massie had voted to impeach trump, the reporter corrected her and said that Massie had not done that.. The woman was flabbergasted, and then had no response or reason for opposing Massie.

So, as usual, these voters are low information cult members who simply vote however trump tells them to vote. (I know, what a way to go through life), but how meaningful is that? Well, even the R voters willing to do that are shrinking, polls show. Independents are leaning for Dems, and of course the Dem base is ENERGIZED.

We will easily win the House and maybe the Senate if we get the majority of Independents, virtually all the Dems with a good turnout, and about twenty percent of Rs.
Why worry about what some low information magas do? They are not powerful enough to matter in the general election.

It's far worse than imagined.
They spent $33 million dollars to spread that disinformation.
There was even a fake video circulating that showed Massie with Rep AOC and Rep Omar getting out of a car together to go into a hotel for a three way affair that was 100% fake, Al generated, but some people believed it.

There are multiple billionaires involved in this and they control almost all forms of mass communication. They control almost all TV stations, radio stations, social media and cable companies and movie production.

14. These people just seem to need to be in some sort of "cult, and this one seems to work for them so there they will stay.

This used to be pretty much the sole purvue of sports and didn't require much thought (just a display of devotion to be accepted), but now they have substituted poltics as their team and it is dangerous. Sports didn't hold the power of the State and wasn't charged with serving the people and defending/protecting our rights equally. When those mandates are subject to a winners and losers mentality as a zero sum game this is where we are.

These voters are more into showmanship and entertainment. And like wrestling, not caring if the show is "real" or just an act is essential. We are watching "Theodore Roosevelt" in Netflix, I read the three books of his biography by Edmund Morris, it is very comprehensive, the documentary is very good, it is a super summary of the books, although I am not sure the documentary is based on Morris books. For anyone who does not understand what being progressive is, this is a must read. I have always called TR the last good republican, a man who changed the USA for the better, one that even republicans didn't like, for obvious reasons.

voters show up at my polling site; ones wearing Trump hats and reflective vests. I’d like to say you’re wasting your time trying to engage them. Best we can hope for this November is for them to be bored and stay home.

What I’d love to see is something like the Berlin Wall constructed to keep these people away from me. It’s like having your hand held while the other person grabs an electric fence just to watch you scream.

Forget appeasement. Keep the tax money where it’s paid. Make state and local governments pay part of the cost for the things they want. How many times have Republicans voted against spending then brag about how much federal money they’ve funneled into their districts? Make failing schools and infrastructure a local problem and maybe folks will see the light and elect representatives who have their best interests at heart in stead of some far off big wig or billionaire.
