wonder what is going on with all the others, when msm attention is so narrowly focused? A number of our DU'ers are working tirelessly to get the word on ALL the elections, a truly monumental task, and I am most grateful.
THANK YOU!!!
Actually, 35, witth the two special elections in Florida and Ohio to replace couchhhumper and l'il marco, as Wiz Imp reminded us!

Mahalo, niyad!
Well stated.

(321,322 posts)I hope so many realize that. We need to win as many Democratic elections as humanly possible all over the Country.

(321,322 posts)I had to cancel all media******, cable everything in November 2002 because of the way they covered for Bush.
Just stayed on DU, and we know it only got exponentially worse

(10,653 posts)Collectively, it projects the Democrats will wind up with 50.7 seats (51 rounded) and their overall chances of winning a majority are at 51.3%. Less than 2 months ago, the Democrats' chances of winning a majority were just 43.3%. At the the beginning of the year, the odds were at just 35.1%. Momentum is strongly on the side of Democrats.

(10,653 posts)Both are seats currently held by Republicans.
Kansas 12.7%
Louisiana 6.0%
The reason for 35 is Ohio and Florida have "special" elections because their Senators were appointed in 2025 (to replace Vance & Rubio).

(4,742 posts)I thought Peltola was outpolling Sullivan and more likely to win than Talarico.
Wiz Imp
(10,653 posts)But as as recently as late March, Sullivan was at over 65% likelihood to win so the momentum is strongly on Peltola's side.
Texas spiked dramatically as soon as Paxton won the runoff.

(35,128 posts)One of the first records that I bought was Billion Dollar Babies by Alice Cooper. My mother promptly broke it in half over her knee after I played it umpteen times one Sunday afternoon.
All those waitressing tips wasted.
Hahahaha! Memories. I really miss my mother, though. She was my best friend.
Neither of my parents supported my recreational choices at that time.
Daddy made me watch as he flushed my weed down the toilet.
I have some stories I could tell.
There isn't a tale close to those in our current psychopathic government, though.

(134,924 posts)finally, a transistor radio for me for the "new" music of the 60's. I was diferent than most of my classmates, the bookworm who spent time demanding things from school boards, churches, basically all authority figures. Which I have been doing ever since. But, as you said, nothing like the psychopathic ones we have now.
So when are you going to share these stories?

(10,979 posts)I prefer MSM concentrate on Senate races we can flip or defending tight (D) Senate races.

(115,851 posts)Because Republicans thrive on controversy and lies. A head-on battle in the corporate media is usually not in the Democrats favor. It's difficult to win a wrestling match with a pig. You get all muddy and exhausted and the pigs rather love it.
