CA election and ballot

We live in Germany and vote by mail.
We waited to see what was going to shake out before we sent in our ballots.
We mailed our ballots on the 23rd of May.
As of today, Alemeda county says they haven't gotten our ballots. Over 2 weeks.
The delivery has never been this slow. Don't know if they are behind in the updating of the website or they just haven't made it there.

For the General election it looks like we will have to mail a month in advance or find a way to fax in the ballot.

Whenever you hear someone say, why is it taking so long in California? That is a Republican talking point. Walleye Jun 9 #1

I wasn't talking about GOP turdpoints.
I am talking about 3 weeks and no ballot at the voting location.
Normal deliver is between 10 days and 2 weeks, historically.

You may be able to see where it is ‘stuck’.

I live outside US part-time and am registered to vote in CA.
For the 2024 presidential election, I mailed in my ballot a week ahead. Ballottrax notified that it was received by the Post office and was on its way to AC Registrar of Voters to count my vote. It never made it.

Good news is that for this primary - it was tracked and counted.

To be honest, I'm surprised you're usually fine mailing it in two weeks early. I remember being in France about ten years ago and mailing a postcard home to my parents. I made it home a week before before the postcard did....and my wife and were overseas for over two weeks.
