I know Platner has been all over the news, and I have gotten countless texts and emails from him asking for donations,

and I know that winning that Senate seat is a big deal, but I had never heard him speak until just now watching his acceptance speech for the nomination. I liked what I heard, and I hope he wins.

This year I have decided I'm going to donate only to races in my own state, which is also close to flipping a Senate seat, Governor, and some of the House seats. The way I see it, doing my part here, in Iowa, will also be doing it for the nation - In the spirit of what Platner said, "As Maine goes, so goes the nation."
