(26,689 posts)There is no bread in my community under $3.49 per loaf. Average bread price here is $4.00, some lower, some higher.

(10,967 posts)When was oil trading at $124/barrel?
It is currently trading at approximately $88/barrel (https://tradingeconomics.com/commodity/crude-oil)
I also know that just because it's trading at $88, it might be actually selling at a much higher amount.
This chart shows that it's actually selling at $28 more than what's being traded.
Which would put today's rate at $116

Although this is higher than Biden's rate, it brings into question all the other numbers.

(248 posts)Any meme that doesn't mention sources is just a pretty graphic and should be trusted as much as the daily vomit from the felon-in-chief.
Life is too short to spend googling to check up on memes that might or might not just be feeding the echo chambers.

(6,601 posts)I was utterly shocked by the prices at the liquor store today.
Everything is up like 30% since I last looked. It has been a long while, but this is more than inflation - dammit the times are driving me to drink! I don't suppose I am the only one, so maybe it's a demand thing? Still the melonious felonious monster's doing.

(491 posts)I find it just as inappropriate when our side posts numbers without attribution, some of which are clearly incorrect. It might feel good to look at this, but its not completely factual. The errors make me therefore question the validity of all of the numbers.

(1,934 posts)about an Oceanographic term: Marine Snow.
It pretty much describes the quality of information available from the feco-alsphere. Trust in any source has been under attack in an ever-increasing assault, and now were about to go Info-On-Acid in a very literal way. GIGO has turned out to be as big a threat as Godzilla here in the Information Age as we rush head-long into a very uncertain Future, lead by a Legion Of Hubris and the lure of un-tapped wealth for the Un-Tapped Wealth Crowd.
As we always do.
