https://www.cnn.com/2026/06/10/politics/postal-service-deliver-mail-in-ballotsWhich means you will not be getting a ballot let alone be able to mail it back. If youre in a blue state and they refused to bow to the piece of shit, youll only be able to vote in person which in some places will be impossible because of the lines or because you have to work etc.
If only some folks had not held their nose and made sure everybody knew they were holding their nose goddamnit🤬

Ive tried to warn people about the other things are going to do in November like surround minority areas with ICE and instruct every red district and state do not certify any election Republicans lose etc. and now this are you kidding me🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

(5,370 posts)California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Vermont, and Washington conduct what is commonly referred to as an all-mail election, or universal mail-in voting.
I imagine they will all sue to overturn this and they should win easily. States get to set their own election rules and theres nothing in the Constitution that says they have to give up the identity of all their voters to the Federal Government.
Finally, how does USPS filter out the mail-in ballots in the first place? Seems like they should carry some legal liability for withholding lawfully posted mail. Not to mention there are numerous ways ballot envelopes could be disguised if necessary.

(34,314 posts)thing is a problem.
They wont allow the ballot to be sent to you nor for you to return it by mail.

(1,428 posts)And hopefully it can be stopped. However, perhaps with this much lead time, people will be made aware they need to vote in person. I was just saying that we DO have in person voting apparatus in place, so it's not like the state would be building from nothing.
LisaL
(47,942 posts)But there are blue states that won't, and some of them are only voting by mail.

(1,428 posts)Washington and Oregon have no in-person options. So they're gonna have to scramble to re-invent precincts, etc. if it goes in Trump's favor in the courts. All the others have in-person options, even if most use mail-in currently. So, at least there are the bones in place to run in-person elections.

(5,815 posts)in the rest of California, but here on the Central Coast I have always voted in person, and have never waited more than one minute to vote. We have so many polling places near me. With early in-person voting and the infrastructure in place, my liberal coastal area could accommodate a 5-fold increase. But were one of the lucky ones.

(34,314 posts)Precinct, Itll be 8 to 10,000, half of them will never be able to end up actually voting or they will give up and just leave. This is insane. 🤬

(34,314 posts)Pretty sure the article says the USPS is setting it up now, unless it gets before a patriotic judge, this will happen.
And if it gets before a judge who still cares about the Constitution and prevents it from happening they will appeal it to the next court and the next court until they get to you know where, anybody here gonna promise me the Supremes wont do the unthinkable here?

(34,314 posts)Its the chaos and nightmare thats coming in November whether they do it this way or another way with surrounding minority areas with ICE and the obvious that nobody is talking about that he will order all red districts and states to not certify any election the Republicans lose.

(31 posts)a Trump mandate
Across my life I have sent and received international mail from places the US didn't maintain a good relationship with. Near the end of my career I maintained professional contacts with Russian biologists for over a decade, despite my colleagues and administrators (in Arkansas) feeling that I was somehow a bad citizen for such.

I think I know, the unthinkable.
Lets start with ordering all red states and all red districts in blue states to not certify any election Republicans lose, you know the entire party will obey.
Also lets send ICE to surround any high minority voting area.
And as we know lets not let anybody vote by mail.
November is going to be the most chaotic and likely violent month in American history outside of the Civil War.
And practically nobody is gonna talk about this and then its just gonna happen.
I remember being cut off when I said the 2024 election was hacked by musk, I remember being laughed at when I said Trump was an actual traitor. Didnt I understand the meaning of that word etc.🤬

(3,025 posts)I just don't see how even SCOTUS could let this stand. The people of Oregon could not vote if they allow this. It's interfering with state rights.
