https://www.iranintl.com/en/202606128540The United Arab Emirates has already delivered about $3 billion to Iran and agreed to release billions more under an arrangement aimed at halting Iranian attacks on the Persian Gulf state, Reuters reported citing four sources.
Two regional sources said the UAE agreed to release a total of $10 billion, with more than $3 billion already delivered. Two other sources put the total funds involved at $20 billion, saying the move was agreed in return for Iran stopping missile and drone attacks on the UAE.
Reuters said it could not determine whether the funds came from UAE money or long-blocked Iranian accounts in the UAE banking system or elsewhere.

Todays Reuters story: I spent a decade working in the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) of a major global bank, so I know a thing or two about how money moves. There is absolutely no way the UAE could release even a fraction of the amounts being claimed to Iran without the US Treasury knowing about it. Anyone familiar with international banking, sanctions compliance, correspondent banking, and financial surveillance knows this story simply does not pass the most basic global finance reality check. It needs a clear published waiver from the US Treasury! None was issued!

Its very possible the US would be more than willing to allow them to pay Iran as part of paying them to stop attacking, it'd be a big favor to not have it come directly from the US.
