They’re fighting, fibbing, floundering, and doing anything they can to distract from it.
This week, Speaker Johnson shut the House floor down rather than put Trump at risk of more scrutiny. With House Democrats ready to vote for the files’ release -- and juuust enough Republican rabble-rousers signed on to force a vote on the House floor -- Republican leadership decided to take their ball and go home.
Weeks before a massive government funding deadline, Republicans are refusing to do their jobs and fleeing Washington -- all to protect Donald Trump.
In the meantime, Trump himself is doing whatever he can to distract from the scandal. He threatened to “go after” President Obama. He’s posting wildly unhinged conspiracy theories. And he released thousands of secret FBI files on Martin Luther King, Jr. against the King family’s wishes. (Not the files we all want to see, Donald!)
As Trump’s own son once said about these very same documents: “Show us all the Epstein client list now!!! Why would anyone protect those scumbags?”
Epstein’s victims deserve truth and transparency, and so does the public. Here’s what you can do right now to keep pushing for truth, while simultaneously driving a wedge into the MAGA base:
☎️ Call your GOP representative to demand release of the Epstein Files. We’re putting House Republicans on the spot: Do they support releasing the Epstein files, or are they fine with a Trump loyalist burying the truth.
💬 Use our “Truth & Share” social toolkit to keep chatter about the Epstein Cover-up going online. We released this new social tool to break through online noise with posts that toxify Trump among wide swaths of Americans. You can find the latest shareable tidbits on the Epstein scandal there.
🥵 Get your Members of Congress (MoC) on the record in person. As MoCs return home for an extended August recess, you may have the opportunity to confront them at town halls, office visits, and other public spaces. Use the guide in our toolkit to make sure they have to answer you.
🪧 Support our billboards to keep the pressure on Trump and his enablers. (ActBlue) We’re rolling out billboards in key GOP districts to ensure Republicans can’t outrun this cover-up. Your support could help us greenlight more billboards -- maybe even mobile ones at state fairs! (more details below)

An update on our Trump-Epstein billboards
We received an overwhelming response when we asked for support to run billboards exposing Trump and Republicans' Epstein Cover-up. Thanks to this community’s generosity, we’re able to expand our billboards into even more places -- including Speaker Johnson’s own district.

Johnson has done his best to block every vote on releasing the Epstein Files: going as far as shutting the House down to stop Democrats (and even a few MAGA Republicans) from forcing a floor vote on the matter.
If Trump's burying evidence, it’s Johnson who has handed him a shovel. He needs to be called out, so we’re bringing our billboard to his Louisiana district next. We're also considering mobile billboards we can roll out at state fairs in key battlegrounds.

The Epstein Cover-up is cracking Trump’s MAGA base like few of his scandals before have, and on top of that, we deserve to know the truth. The folks harmed by Epstein deserve justice, and anyone involved with Epstein’s crimes must be held accountable.

P.S. Late yesterday, House Oversight Committee Democrats forced a successful vote to subpoena Epstein files, but given Trump and Johnson's unending obstruction, we're not counting on GOP cooperation or stopping our calls for a full House vote. Onward!

My limited exposure to Indivisible says that they jump on hot topics rapidly, and that's something that the party has been lax to do until very recently. The GOP scumbags used every opportunity to stall Democratic legislation and stymie presidents, and pack the court.
When you don't have the sledgehammer, it seems that a thousand cuts will have to do.
Personally, I believe that the issue fracturing the GOP is the burned-in maga core belief, since pizzagate, that the DEMS are running a worldwide child-smuggling ring, and that the evidence was being buried to protect Dems, and I think they still believe it to this minute.
Hiding evidence, to them, must represent hiding evidence on EVERYONE BUT their beloved and sainted president and all his cohorts, and represents a betrayal of his wildly hypocritical "transparency" claim and promised released of it all. (which was a damned lie)
Worse, I fully expect his minions to be shredding evidence and replacing it with AI-generated replacements, concurrent with his dredging up insane accusations against Barack Obama et. al. The evidence tampering will make Watergate look like a speck of dust and could take down the administration and its street thugs disguised as cabinet members and department heads.
I've been hammering on issues for years on this forum, but in the end, if this derails the Trump Train, GREAT.
"Bread and Butter" issues have been widely promoted by Bernie and AOC throughout the country in the Oligarchy tours, (see the sumamary I deceived below) and all the other crucial issues addressed in their speeches. I listened to many of them.

People attending rallies in huge numbers are saying
YES to raising the minimum wage,
YES to expanding Social Security,
YES to guaranteeing health care as a human right,
YES to cutting the cost of prescription drugs,
YES to paid family and medical leave,
YES to equal pay for equal work,
YES to more affordable housing,
YES to making childcare and higher education affordable to all,
YES to taking on the existential threat of climate change.
And most importantly they are saying
YES to a government and an economy that works for all of us and not just the billionaire class and the Oligarchs.
