Trump Told Netanyahu Not To Attack Iran: WSJ

Source: MEDIAite

Jun 12th, 2025, 11:15 pm

President Donald Trump told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday that he wanted to let negotiations with Iran run their course before exercising military options, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal on Thursday night.

On Thursday, Israel bombed Iran in several airstrikes, killing top military leaders and nuclear scientists, including Gen. Hossein Salami, who was the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard. Shortly after the news broke, Secretary of State Marco Rubio issued a statement distancing the administration from the action.

“Tonight, Israel took unilateral action against Iran. We are not involved in strikes against Iran and our top priority is protecting American forces in the region,” he said before warning Iran not to strike U.S. targets in the region.

Israel’s bombings occurred right before Trump’s Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, was set to meet with Iranian officials in Oman on Sunday to discuss Tehran’s nuclear program. It is unclear at this moment whether those talks will move forward.

I’ve forgotten which leader said something along the lines that Israel took all the aid and military weapons and ignored all the US advice. We have gotten very little for the money given to Israel.

Pootie in no uncertain terms to do whatever he wants, we have no way of knowing what he said to Netanyahu.

As far as little Rubio puffing up and warning the Iranians not to attack US interests. Good luck with that. The entire World knows that our military with it’s drunken Secretary is tied up tilting at the windmills of illegal aliens Needy Amin and Pee-wee German see under their beds and on parade duty. Going as far as wrestling sitting US Senators to the ground and holding them incommunicado handcuffed.

Israeli officials say that their country’s deadly military strike on Iran was rubber stamped by Donald Trump, despite his claims to have had nothing to do with it.

Just hours before Israel’s massive operation Thursday targeting Iran’s ballistic missile and nuclear facilities, military officials, and nuclear scientists, Trump claimed he was against an attack because it would “blow” ongoing diplomatic talks, which were set to continue this weekend.

Two Israeli officials told Axios, however, that Trump was lying, and the president had only pretended to publicly oppose Israel’s military operation to “eliminate” ballistic missile and nuclear facilities, which was reportedly eight-months in the making.

“We had a clear U.S. green light,” one Israeli official told Axios.

Scary thought now is Rubio told Iran not to ATTACK U.S. targets in the area. I hope this has all been coincidence.

Beside Krasnov's wet dream about killing citizens he's really wet about the prospect of WWIII happening while he's in power

What fuckin game are they playing?

Who made the planes Israel used? The bombs? Provides the money that supports the regime? The support? Provided defensive cover to Israel? Justifies their actions in the UN? If you knew in advance and did nothing - that's malfeasance.

What does the world see? "Made in America" That is what the world is seeing.

During the turbulence in the U.S. over Vietnam in the early 70's, the Army Vice-Chief of Staff, General Bruce Palmer, said that when people see an Army uniform they don't see National Guard - they see the U.S. Army.

Likewise, the world doesn't see just Israel - they see the United States.

They haven't really tried before because those facilities were thought to be beyond Israel's capabilities to get to them. Underground, etc. And of course the US has refused in the past to provide them with bunker buster bombs so that Israel wouldn't feel capable of doing much.
For the US it's about protecting the supply of oil from the region because Iran is capable of shutting oil shipping transit in the Gulf and afraid of how much terrorism Iran could unleash on the west if Iran was attacked in a really big way.
At this point Israel has decided to go harder at Iran. Something has to be done at some point. They are already reaping great hate about Gaza, so they don't feel like it would get any worse with this action.
