'It Was Chaos': US Troops Who Survived Deadly Iranian Attack Dispute Pentagon's Version of Events

Source: MEDIAite

Troops in Kuwait who survived the deadliest Iranian attack on U.S. forces since the war began told CBS News that the Pentagon wasn’t being truthful with its description of events. Six U.S. Army Reserve service members lost their lives when an Iranian drone struck a tactical operations center in Kuwait on March 1. Additionally, more than 20 soldiers were wounded.

CBS News spoke to some of the survivors who detailed the attack that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth claimed was the result of an anomalous “squirter” drone that just happened to get through the fortified unit inside Kuwait. One injured soldier told CBS News, “Painting a picture that ‘one squeaked through’ is a falsehood. I want people to know the unit…was unprepared to provide any defense for itself. It was not a fortified position.”

The soldiers said they were moved to “a bunch of little tin buildings” in Kuwait where they set up “makeshift offices” before Operation Epic Fury got underway, while other soldiers were moved to safer locations in Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

The injured soldiers told CBS News, “they had questions about why they remained well within range of Iran’s missiles and drones,” at the base inside Kuwait. “One soldier said they saw intelligence showing the post was on a list of potential Iranian targets,” according to the report. “We moved closer to Iran, to a deeply unsafe area that was a known target,” one soldier said. “I don’t think there was a good reason ever articulated.”

But pleased to hear the soldiers speaking out to get the truth out.

Something tells me the troops aren’t so blindly loyal to Trump as some think.

Tell them you have heard NOTHING about how many American service members have been wounded during Trumnp's Iran war.

This report says 30 wounded in that one attack. I have seen reports of over 300 evacced to Germany, but that was one week into the war.

Wounded would be evacuated to Landstuhl Army Medical Center, Germany, then, either returned to duty or evacced to Stateside hospital.

You want to now:
1. How many evacuated from US Mideast bases to Landstuhl?
2. How many died at Landstuhl or while being evacced?
3. How many released from Landstuhl and returned to duty?
4. How many evacced from Landstuhl to Stateside bases? Which Stateside hospitals and how many to each?
5. How many diagnosed with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)?

Benghazi where secqurity was inadequate due to Republican funding cuts was a terrible blotch on Hillary. This whole debacle with more troops killed and injured due lack of planning is just shit happens.

Survivors of the deadliest Iranian attack on U.S. forces since the war began have disputed the Pentagon's description of events and said their unit in Kuwait was left dangerously exposed when six service members were killed and more than 20 wounded.

Speaking publicly for the first time, members of the targeted unit offered CBS News a detailed account of the attack and its harrowing aftermath from the perspective of those on the ground.

The members CBS News spoke to disputed the description of events from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who described the drone as a "squirter" — in that it squirted through the defenses of a fortified unit inside Kuwait.

"Painting a picture that 'one squeaked through' is a falsehood," one of the injured soldiers told CBS News. "I want people to know the unit … was unprepared to provide any defense for itself. It was not a fortified position."
