'Everything is gone': Israel destroys entire villages in Lebanon

Source: Guardian

The Israeli military has demolished entire villages as part of its invasion of south Lebanon, rigging homes with explosives and razing them to the ground in massive remote detonations.

The Guardian reviewed three videos posted by the Israeli military and on social media, which showed Israel carrying out mass detonations in the villages of Taybeh, Naqoura and Deir Seryan along the Israel-Lebanon border. Lebanese media has reported more mass detonations in other border villages, but satellite imagery was not readily available to verify these claims.

The demolitions came after Israel’s minister of defence, Israel Katz, called for the destruction of “all houses” in border villages “in accordance with the model used in Rafah and Beit Hanoun in Gaza” to stop threats to communities in northern Israel. The Israeli military destroyed 90% of homes in Rafah, in south Gaza.

The tactic of mass destruction of homes in Gaza, where Israel has been accused of committing genocide, was described as domicide by academics, a strategy that is used to systematically destroy and damage civilian housing to render entire areas uninhabitable.

My interpretation is not flattering.

I do think that AIPAC is really really bad. So now you know what I think but I still don't understand what you meant when you said what you said. Rather than hitting Alert, I am asking you to clarify and I hope that you do.

Thanks heaps

What was the original post about?
What has this member written about?
Maybe I should check his/her journal and previous posts.

As I have done. After reading your journal and replies I believe it's safe to assume we think alike

Ask yourself, why would the reply be so obtusely written as to be open to interpretation instead of making the intent obvious?

You're welcome to alert, but I'm curious as to what rule you think was broken. As a matter of fact, I consider your threat to "alert" to be a personal attack. An alertable offense. Think about it.
Have a great day.

For the record, I think any PAC that hides it's true intent while contributing to politicians and politicians accepting those contributions and lying about the contributions and on whose behalf they are advocating for, is insidious. I would consider that a fireable offense.

Standard process with virgin ground.
If you want to grow your own crop, you knock down the native vegetation and drive out the resident animals.

In this case though it isn't virgin ground - the 'native vegetation' is made up of buildings and whole villages, and the 'resident animals' are the humans who live there.
The 'own crop' is the setting up of Israeli settlements.

This is a war crime by any definition.

US polls show that younger people support Palestinians, not Israel. Republicans still support Israel because they cheer on the destruction on bring on their delusional end times. We know that Trump is Netanyahu's puppet, but I continue to wonder why other world leaders seemingly do nothing to sanction Israel. They are not powerless. Leaders in the Middle East are just as bad. They just stand by and watch as Israel decimates murders fellow Arabs. Why? Economic sanctions and refusal to trade with Israel could be useful in stopping Bibi's rampages.

So move it on to the next country Bibi covets. Lebanon, then Syria. Kushner is eyeing all that beachfront.

They see every Lebanese Shiite as Hezbollah, and vice versa. If you look at a map of Israel's northern tip, you can see what their plan to create a buffer zone from rocket attacks will require.

Everything south of the Litani River will be emptied.

No one can stop it except Dim Donald and he thinks it's funny.
