GOP divided on pursuing third reconciliation amid election tensions

Republicans are divided over whether to pursue a third party-line spending package, with some lawmakers expressing skepticism that such an ambitious effort can clear Congress in a high-stakes election year.

GOP leaders and top budget writers have already begun laying the groundwork for a third package, which they hope will include defense funding, fraud prevention initiatives and a slate of affordability-focused measures. President Trump added momentum to the effort Wednesday, urging Republicans in a Truth Social post to pass a $350 billion bill that would include the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE America) Act, legislation requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections and an ID to cast a ballot.

But the prospect of passing another partisan package through the budget reconciliation process is giving some Republicans pause, including those facing competitive reelection races who worry that a politically difficult vote could alienate swing voters back home. Others simply don’t believe there’s enough time to get another massive bill across the finish line.

Reconciliation is a special process that allows the majority party to bypass the filibuster in the Senate, but it is a time-consuming and arduous process that tests party unity. Republicans have passed two reconciliation bills so far during Trump’s second term.

What these clueless losers won't say is that there are 3 types of reconciliation legislation ( "spending", "taxing", "debt" ) and they can ONLY do each type, ONCE a fiscal year (although the types can be combined as 2 or all 3). So after that ICE/DHS funding fiasco this yesr, they can't do another "spending" one until Oct. 1 or later, a month before the election at the earliest.

The Barbaric Butcher Bill from last year used all 3 types - "tax authority" (extending the tax cuts for billionaires), "debt" (raising the debt ceiling by 5 trillion), "spending" (lavishing billions upon billions on wasteful and fraudulent immigration bullshit and concentration camp spending while making draconian cuts to vital health, education, housing, and food services).

It has nothing to do with debt, taxes, or spending. Do they intend to ignore the Senate Parliamentarian ruling it ineligible for reconciliation?

Ok, I was talking about GROUND-HOGS, or American Nazis, or Republicans or something........




I shot a big ground-hog in the ass with a pellet-gun today--
he made a rather comical JUMP before running into one of his holes....

That was my second missed chance of MURDERING one of them
with a 20-guage shotgun round this year---
I'd rather try to dissuade them this year, than murder them--
especially since most of what they used to eat,
I have failed to grow from seed this year....


The most puzzling scene I have witnessed this spring, is a groundhog stretching up
to try to eat the RADISH flowers, of the radishes which are trying to seed now---several times...

(I don't begrudge them the radish flowers, or the radishes at this point,
but that is a NEW CURIOSITY!(

some of them have strange tastes!--
(and chewing down some of those radish flowers,
right next to the huge stand of CHIVES which they supposedly
would be repelled by the smell of ?)
