Maybe an hour ago now, I was watching a guy who walks around Disneyland, streaming live on his YouTube channel.
He came upon a stage with a funk band playing - bass, drums, guitar, percussionist and female lead vocalist.
I noticed that the guitar player looked just like the guitarist from my band called "Picture This" from around 1988-1995 or so.
I kept watching, and as the band wound down their set, the percussionist identified the band members, and sure enough, it was my old guitarist, Joe Calderon.
He was good back in the day, but over the years he evolved into a fantastic player and session guy who has worked on dozens of high-profile projects.
It was weird seeing him by chance like that playing at Disneyland of all places!

Apparently we signed it for a fan?!
Joe is on the far left, I'm seated in the chair.
The others are Dave and Ian, L-R.

(100,959 posts)I think I've heard of you guys from back then.
My only known experience with a musician at Disneyland is that I was acquainted and sometimes involved with a pan player (steel drums) who was the percussion prof at the university I attended. We were both soloists with the big band in the music dept. at the school. She was amazing then, probably still is, haven't seen her in years.
