How did you find this guy? You'll probably just have to take the hit and drive (or have it towed) to a local mechanic with good references...I hope you can get this resolved soon.

Edit: You might look into reporting this guy to the Better Business Bureau and maybe on local web discussion groups in your area...

What does stripped the teeth mean? You mean over-tightened the plugs and damaged the threads? How do you know this?

You have his name and address. He's likely not reporting income. Is he an independent mechanic, not affiliated with a company?

4. I took it to another shop

They were almost as bad!

This place where I live sucks so bad! If there is a way to screw someone over, too many businesses do just that!



The second place tried to get me to put some additive in the engine.

I paid them and came home and called my bank and they told me that this stuff they were pushing was used by shady car dealers!

My bank put a STOP PAYMENT on that check. This second shop discovered the stripped teeth and attempted to repair this issue.

My bank directed me to another shop close to where I live. They said they were afraid to touch the part of the car where the stripped teeth are as it would "open a whole can of worms".

They told me to drive the car after checking it out good. It seems to be ok but I don't know!

I can barely type any more. I guess I'm going to have to stop posting here. I don't have any other active accounts such as this but if you don't see me around much any more, you will know why.

MS is ruining what is left of my life! In my day, I was able to type 100+ WPM. Now maybe 20 WPM if lucky!

What can the doctors do for an oldster with this illness? Not much as it is too little too late for me!

7. I have legal insurance

I pay for this every month out of my paltry defined benefit plan pension of a whopping $110 a month!

This really sucks!

I just messaged this idiot and told him I want my money back and that he damaged my car!

I doubt he'll reply but after a lawyer gets on his butt he will reply!

Being an old woman is not easy in this world, esp. a disabled one!
