Lose One: Keys, Cellphone, Wallet

You go to the store but find you've lost something very important: either your keys, your cellphone or your wallet/billfold/purse (wherever you keep your cards). It's lost and gone forever. Which would you rather lose?

I was thinking about this when I was at the store. Any one of these items would be devastating to lose. If you don't have keys, how do you drive home or enter your house? Losing your wallet would really suck too because you'd have to replace your driver's license, credit cards etc. And of course your cellphone has all your contacts and would be the most expensive to replace.

So which one? Which one?!

Its loss doesn't make life inoperable. It can be replaced in less than 24 hours. Not so for the wallet and keys.

Easier to lose. Not secure even if it is in your pocket. My policy is I Don’t put critical information in it that isn’t stored somewhere else.

With my wallet and cellphone, I could call my daughter to pick me up and use her duplicate set of my keys to have copied. If she isn't available, I can call a locksmith to make new keys and a Lyft or Uber to get me home. I'll have my credit cards to pay them, though I'll probably still need to get another ride to the dealer to have new car keys made if the locksmith can't provide the right fob. But everything is manageable.

I can get a spare house key and fob from my landlord if I have my IDs, I can call an uber if I need to and car keys can be easily replaced.

I'm down to two, and I have duplicates.

Could be a big problem, I suppose, if I were in the car and far from home.

So he would probably hate to lose his cellphone.
Me, probably my wallet. My hubby can come get me if I lose my keys and I can stop
things by using my cellphone.

I don't drive anymore and I have almost everything I need delivered to my house. Whenever I do use Uber to actually go to a physical store the only key I bring with me is a house key which I have a duplicate for in a fake rock in the flower bed.

I keep those things in a secretary in my car because that's where I need them. Never liked the idea of wallet, like putting all your eggs in one basket and carrying it around.
