(609 posts)received the best news. 20 years ago, I had to have a surgical biopsy following a scary screening procedure. I still remember the weight of waiting for the results and the overwhelming relief when I got the phone call with the results. I am so happy for you and know what a sunny outlook this gives you. Be well, dear heart and celebrate!😊🩷

(12,344 posts)The numbers generally run that 60% to 80% breasts masses are non-cancerous, but I didn't want you feeling like I "dismissed" your worry. Sometimes typing to someone has a different tone than talking with them.
Keep getting those every 6 months checkups. Take deep breaths and do something nice for yourself.
Polly Hennessey
(9,016 posts)bring back your smile; however, keep up the six month or yearly checkups because early detection is key. So happy for you.

(215 posts)Congratulations on your good report.
I know I'm off topic, but I want to use my response to advise women over 60 to never stop getting your Pap exam. Doctors are telling older women that you don't need to keep getting the test done. My sister believed her doctor and quit getting her PAP test. Then she had an issue and went to PP and got a PAP test. She found out she had cervical cancer. She died 2 years after getting her diagnosis due to her blood not being strong enough to continue getting her chemo. Had she had her yearly test, she'd still be alive.
Get your tests done ladies. I'm 80 and I get my mamo and PAP done yearly and will continue to do so.
