Dog that wasn't supposed to walk again miraculously starts walking

We had a similar thing happen to a dog who is just fine and one night he ran out the door and suddenly he started yelping, he couldn't get up and he was pooping himself and peeing himself. We took him to the vet and the vet said he must have been hit by a car, he'll never walk again might as well just put him down. We just couldn't do that. So we found a vet that did acupuncture on horses at the racetrack and was starting to work with dogs. It turned out he had something happen in his back that narrowed the spinal cord. Eventually after several months of therapy the dog was able to walk again, it just felt like a miracle.
