THEYSEEYOURPHOTOS Your photos reveal a lot of private information.

https://theyseeyourphotos.com/

In this experiment, we use the Google Vision API to see how much can be inferred about you from a single photo.

See what they see.

Example, average person:

Description:
The image shows a man in his 40s seated at a desk, consuming a large bowl of shrimp. The location appears to be an office, characterized by a wooden desk and panelled wall in the background. The foreground is dominated by the bowl of shrimp, presented on a silver platter, a clear indicator of indulgence.

The man appears to be of Ashkenazi Jewish descent, likely earning between USD 80,000 and 120,000. Presuming a Jewish religious background, he is likely heterosexual. Politically, he seems to align with the Democrat party. Socially, he may exhibit ageism and classism, with racial biases including anti-semitism and colorism. His clothing and actions suggest an interest in eating, napping, and watching TV, counterbalanced by negative habits of lying, cheating, and stealing.

The individual seems to exhibit low self-esteem, a penchant for instant gratification, and a notable lack of self-control. Thus, we can target him with luxury seafood delivery, discreet therapy services, baldness remedies, anti-aging supplements, noise-canceling headphones, streaming services, diet plans, and comfortable office chairs, such as LobsterAnywhere, Talkspace, Rogaine, Tru Niagen, Bose, Netflix, WeightWatchers, and Herman Miller.

I tried "you know who" but it recognized him by name, so it really didn't need to guess anything.

Excerpted from full description:
"In terms of political affiliation, he might align with the Republican party. He may exhibit biases such as ageism and classism as social biases, and ethnocentrism and colorism as racial biases. He may have negative involvement in gossiping, watching TV excessively, and gambling.
He seems to lack emotional stability and self-control, hence we can target them with self-help and impulse-control services, such as mindfulness apps and anger management programs, like Headspace, Calm, BetterHelp, Talkspace, anti-smoking patches (Nicorette), lottery tickets (Powerball), fast-food meals (McDonald's) and premium cars (Mercedes-Benz)."

If a person were to base an opinion of Senator McGovern from this analysis, that person would be far and away way off base.

One man who worked with the senator's campaign for president said this: "McGovern was
one of the political leaders with the greatest integrity that I have ever seen."

Strike 3. That is a bonkers screwup.

I posted it basically as ricidule/satire, and Google is best at ridiculing itself.

I see posts on Hacker News of people losing their accounts, and years of writing, for no reason at all, and no humans at all. Zero, Zilch, Nada, Niente to respond. One CEO of a startup had all his gmail accounts vanish.

I'll bet that the program cheats by recognizing people and just reading a dictionary when it can.

But the point is that people use this awful stuff.

Next time you get an ad for a dirigible repair tool .... it's AI no doubt.

I tried some family photos and the personal results were way way off. Not to mention they were off by saying most of them were Republicans! What was worrisome they did get most of the PLACES, where the photos were taken, right.
