Daughter walking in and not an assassin. So, I don't know. The nervous man who walked into the men's room could be an hommage to the godfather scene where Michael takes out Solotzo and the Chief in the restaurant.

3. Well, I wanted to think it ended well, but I knew David Chase always had it in mind to kill Tony off..

So, I sort of thought he was killed.

David Chase finally confirmed as much in 2021:
After 14 years of speculation, The Sopranos' creator David Chase has officially confirmed, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, that Tony did in fact die at the end of the series' finale in 2007. Nov 3, 2021

I was really crushed, though, when the actor (Gandolfini) had his fatal heart attack with his son (in Italy, I think). That finally closed the book. sigh...
