I've had my problems with Jared Polis since he first ran for Congress.
He was my congressman. I didn't support him in the primary back then, but I voted for him in the general. Same when he ran for governor.
But now I'm furious! I'm an election worker in Colorado, and I know how hard we all work to keep our elections fair and safe. Tina Peters put all of that at risk, and deserved the punishment she got. She's a crook.
I'm truly worried that Michael Bennet is going to win the governorship and then appoint Polis to his senate seat. And if Hickenlooper wins, then we're stuck with the same three weak-ass corporate Dems, just shuffled into different offices.
I know I'm supposed to "support Democrats" on DU, but I'm sick of this. I DO support Democrats:
Julie Gonzalez. And no, she's not a friend of mine or anything, but I did get to meet her at the County Assembly, and I found her impressive. Hickenlooper didn't even bother to show up.
Phil Weiser. Again, don't know the guy, but he at least came out in support of changing our constitution so we could fight the rigging of elections in other states.
There are others, but I really hope to see these two win. They're not perfect, but we need a change in Colorado.
