Missouri governor activates National Guard, declares state of emergency

https://www.msn.com/en-us/public-safety-and-emergencies/health-and-safety-alerts/missouri-governor-activates-national-guard-declares-state-of-emergency/ar-AA1GFiTH?ocid=BingNewsSerp

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe (R) on Thursday declared a state of emergency and activated the state’s National Guard in anticipation of protests across the state — and in response to “civil unrest” across the country.

Missouri Executive Order 25-25 declares a State of Emergency and allows the Adjutant General to order service members to aid state officials.

The order comes after the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Missouri National Guard and Missouri Department of Public Safety established a Unified Command to monitor situations across the state and prepare local law enforcement.

Republican asshole gov.

Donald Trump is a convicted felon and is Putin's Puppet. He is also a rapist.

ON EDIT: Should I post this to Latest Breaking News? Or is this NOT a national attention getter? I figure if the GOP/Nazi "leaders" are rolling out this bullshit state by state, well god damn, we are all living in a police state.

they are also obligated to disobey any and all illegal orders. Or they could be held accountable per the Nuremberg trials. Following 'orders' is not a valid defense.

In this case, the coward Republican governor isn't justified in asking, but it's his right to do it and so there it is.

In California, SHItler didn't wait for the Governor to ask, he just carried out a COUP of California government, shoving the Guard in there WITHOUT and against the will of the Governor. THAT is illegal and unconstitutional.

Texass as well. This is an attempt to reduce the number
of protestors against the republican anti-freedom, anti-
democracy regime. Because that might make Captain Senile
unhappy.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/texas-governor-deploying-national-guard-to-various-locations-in-state/ar-AA1Gw7Jc?ocid=BingNewsSerp

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) said early Wednesday that the Texas National Guard is prepared to “ensure peace & order” in his state, as protests against President Trump’s immigration crackdown spread beyond California.

“Peaceful protest is legal,” Abbott wrote on social platform X. “Harming a person or property is illegal & will lead to arrest.”

He added the National Guard troops would “help law enforcement maintain order.”

For the fascist right, citizens lawfully, peacefully exercising their First Amendment rights is an ‘emergency.’

because they must complete their takeover and conversion of the U.S. Government before the 2026 midterm elections, not that they intend to allow a legal vote in any Republican controlled state.

in his state.

" monitor situations across the state and prepare local law enforcement"
is an admission that they are PREPARING for what hasn't happened in MO.

So without objective evidence, MO's governor declares an emergency when there is no emergency.

The height of fearmongering stupidity.

But this shows us where we stand. There are fascists running every red state now, just salivating at the chance to have a "Kent State" in every state.

Protest is the patriotic response.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
