Idiots. Seems to happen whenever a team wins ((or loses) a big game
During and after Saturday night's game, in which the Knicks defeated the Spurs in San Antonio, Texas, tens of thousands of people spilled into New York's streets, becoming increasingly destructive, the official said. Ten police officers were injured, including one who was punched in the face and another who was struck with a glass bottle, police said.
A 17-year-old who was shot near Manhattan's Times Square was taken to the hospital in a police car because an ambulance could not get through the streets due to the crowds. Five school buses were set on fire or destroyed and five police vehicles were severely damaged, as well as several private cars, police said.

Always have been involved in sports, but now having doubts.
Ive seen coaches that are bullying players to fans rioting, both winners and losers.
I think we need to rethink sports.

(6,145 posts)I'd guess hundreds of thousands of people wandering midtown all night. I've never seen so many people out. I may be off due to living neat 28th & 7th ave. But i kept looking down and the traffic didnt move more than 100 maybe 150 feet from 1130-130. Every so often Id look down and same cop car and bus inched the length of just my bluilding during that time. I also saw some kinds climb up on a box truck briefly. But again I've never seen so much foot traffic all evening.
