1. There are laws that require utilities to mark their lines

before someone digs. Of course, that means that whoever digs must call and request the marks. I wonder who dropped the ball?

3. In red states they make the rules up as they go...with their own pseudolaws....

....all day long..... in electrical, plumbing, surveying, construction, garbage collection, permitting, water line, business registration, paying income taxes, not following the ADA, and on and on and on.... You will rarely hear, a trades-person, business owner, or administrator utter the phrases, "according to code....," ....according to the ADA," "....according to the department of taxation."

...alternatively, if a private entertainment show with 3 female impersonators happens, watch how fast they call the police.

2. I hate gas and thankfully I live in all electric and everything is buried. Restaurants and some neighborhoods

Are gas generated but the lines should be visibly marked. Call before you dig but some don’t and that doesn’t help with leaks. How awful 😢
