Verdict reached in money laundering trial of Fort Bend County Judge KP George

KP George is an asshole. He was a republican and ran as a democrat a couple of times including losing to a LaRouche supporter in the Democratic primary for a congressional seat. KP ran for judge in 2018 and won in a major wave year. KP later switched parties and then came in last in the GOP primary. I have been following this trial and there were rumors that KP may get off.

RICHMOND, Texas — A Fort Bend County jury on Friday afternoon reached a guilty verdict in the money laundering trial of County Judge K.P. George. Next up is sentencing. He faces up to 10 years in prison. Sentencing will be at least 45 days from now.

Jurors started deliberations around 2:20 p.m. Thursday after hearing closing arguments from both the prosecution and defense at the courthouse in Richmond. They reportedly reached a verdict shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Friday.

Don't they usually bend over backwards (or just bend over) to protect each other from accountability?
