Multiple agencies respond to brush fire outside Bothell

EVERETT — Emergency officials from multiple agencies responded to a brush fire north of Bothell on Wednesday afternoon after neighbors said a falling tree struck power lines.

The officially dubbed Timber Creek Fire is located in the 19100 block of 43rd Avenue in unincorporated Snohomish County, Department of Natural Resources spokesperson Ryan Rodruck said in an interview Wednesday.

As of 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, the fire was 2.5 acres in size, with the state agency supplying one helicopter and two engines to assist extinguishing efforts. Additional crews from Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue were on the ground, Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue spokesperson Peter Mongillo said.

“It’s kind of a pesky little fire because of the location and also there’s very minimal water supply,” Mongillo said.
