Ann Davison, Erika Evans ahead of Rory O'Sullivan and Nathan Rouse for Seattle City Attorney, NPI Civic Heartbeat poll
finds
Seattle voters appear to be on the verge of selecting former federal prosecutor Erika Evans as incumbent City Attorney Ann Davisons opponent for the 2025 general election, the Northwest Progressive Institutes latest Civic Heartbeat survey has found.
In the aggregate, 31% of a representative sample of likely 2025 August 2025 Seattle voters surveyed last week by Change Research for the Northwest Progressive Institute said they had or would be supporting Ann Davison for another term as Seattle City Attorney. 18% said they had or would be supporting Erika Evans, one of three progressive challengers who is hoping to defeat Davison. 5% backed Rory OSullivan, and 2% backed Nathan Rouse, who are Davisons other two progressive challengers.
41% said they were not sure and 3% said they would not vote.
When we followed up in a subsequent question with a little information from the August voters pamphlet specifically, listing the candidates occupations as they appear in the pamphlet along with a link to where our respondents could read the complete statements for all four candidates on kingcounty.gov Evans cut her deficit with Davison to just four points (33% to 29%), within our surveys margin of error, while OSullivan and Rouse remained far behind at 8% and 6% and a quarter said they were undecided.
