Contractors sue for millions in unpaid work on Microsoft's $5 billion campus refresh

A joint venture between Skanska and Balfour Beatty is locked in a legal dispute with two subcontractors over work on Microsoft Corp.’s (Nasdaq: MSFT) $5 billion campus expansion in Redmond.

In King County Superior Court, facade specialist Roschmann Steel and Glass and concrete contractor SAK Builders are arguing in separate lawsuits that the joint venture owes them millions for uncompensated costs and unpaid work.

The lawsuits, filed earlier this year, come as Microsoft's campus refresh —the Puget Sound region’s largest and most expensive construction project — remains delayed with no current timeline for completion.

Microsoft was not named as a defendant in either case.
