Seattle's Crocodile club exits receivership amid sale to new owner
Longstanding Seattle music venue The Crocodile has found a new owner, a move that closes a difficult chapter for the storied club, which has played host to legendary acts such as Nirvana, Pearl Jam and The White Stripes.
The Crocodile announced Monday that it has concluded its monthslong receivership process through a sale to Comedy Tent, an entertainment holding company that includes Abso Lutely Productions, Upright Citizens Brigade and Bottlerocket Social Hall.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Belltown club entered receivership in January after accumulating roughly $1.6 million in debt owed to ticketing platform TicketWeb.
