State Supreme Court candidates campaign, discuss debate with just 4 days until election night

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Coming off their first and only debate for an open seat on Wisconsin’s Supreme Court last night, both candidates made their case to voters and proclaimed victory on Friday.

Both Maria Lazar and Chris Taylor told reporters Friday that they accomplished what they wanted to do by participating in Thursday night’s debate.

What’s unclear is whether Lazar made any traction with voters, as she has been the underdog, trailing Taylor in just about every poll since the very beginning.

The focus now is on the final stretch in a race that’s supposed to be non-partisan, even though both candidates have party ties.
