like Trump because of Trump's threat to take us over as the 51st state so he backtracked on things like shuttering the CBC (canada's version of radio and tv pbs which are our most popular news sources) which had been his mantra for a long time. The Conservatives had already gone silent on banning abortion since the wedge issues don't work in Canada the same way they do in the US. So he's a Canadian version of a Republican. A pit bull. Never held another job outside of politics. He is one of those.

Apparently J.D. Vance has a good friend in Canadian Parliament and he has the knives out for Poilievre because I guess the current White House doesn't like how Poilievre has turned away from Trump in the ways he has. Poilievre has a leadership review this winter.
