Rubio meets with pro-MAGA Hungarian leader Orban ahead of elections - DW News

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is in Budapest for talks with Prime Minister Viktor Orban. After bilateral discussions with his Hungarian counterpart, foreign minister Peter Szijjarto, he'll go on to meet the prime minister. The visit is the final stage of a whirlwind trip to Europe that also saw him address the Munich Security Conference and visit another right-wing ally, Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico on Sunday. The Budapest stopover is being seen as a campaign boost for Viktor Orban, whose Fidesz party is trailing the opposition, ahead of legislative elections in April.

Rubio's loyalty to American democracy has been suspect for some time. But since January '25 it has become clearer and clearer that his loyalties lie with Fascist authoritarianism. I'm sure he and the Hungarian Hitler-wannabe share many intimate moments swapping lies and laughing about the power they have taken from the people.
