Time to Pay - Joe Blogs

The ceasefire may be holding for now, but the global economic fallout from the Iran conflict is far from over.

In today’s update, I look at the growing threat around the Strait of Hormuz, where Iran is reportedly considering charges for ships passing through one of the world’s most important energy routes.

With shipping traffic already down sharply, oil and gas prices surging, and Saudi production hit by recent attacks, the cost of this conflict is now spreading far beyond the Middle East.

Even if the fighting has paused, the damage is already feeding through into inflation, supply chains, fuel prices and global markets.

So is this really peace… or is it simply time to pay?
